Honor Thy Teachers

You know how it is when you’re in a long drive and your mind starts wandering, thinking….
Well, I was in a shopping escapade mid afternoon going to Cabazon which is about 2 hours from LA. Thanks to the Independence Day weekend, I can say the sale was really great but I abused my wallet again. LOL.
So, going back to driving….for some unknown reason —- I was just feeling grateful about life in general. And I thought…hmmmm….why is that??? And I started thinking about people that had inspired me. I called them, “my teachers.” For one thing, I consider myself a perennial student. Learning, absorbing and creating by trial and error.
I started thinking about “my teachers” who had somehow impressed on my mind about how they approach their work, vocation and their life. And sometimes, it’s just what they say and reflected on the things that they do. And it really does contributed to my work now.
As a result of my musings, I decided in my own small way that I’ll honor “my teachers” by featuring them in this series, “Honor Thy Teachers.” Yeah, how very original! LOL
By the way, I have no intention of being “sipsip.” LOL
I just think that we all need to do that more often. To let them- “our teachers” know that they had done great work. They might not be famous or anything, but these “teachers” should be acknowledged so that they’ll continue to do amazing work on other people.
Readers, I encourage you all to do the same thing. Maybe you can send them a note, or an email, or a flower. Don’t be a stalker, though. LOL.
So, look forward to my next blog on this series.
